The Outpatient Department (OPD) at ESIC Hospital Manesar is designed to provide accessible and efficient medical consultations for patients. Here is a detailed overview of our OPD.
Consultation process:
1. Registration
Location: OPD Registration Counter
Process:
Arrival: Upon arrival at the hospital, patients need to proceed to the OPD registration counter.
Documents Required: Patients should bring valid photo ID proof of identification, ePehchaan/ESI Card, any previous medical records or referral documents and health insurance information (if applicable).
Registration Form: Patient's details are verified and necessary documentation is made by hospital staff online. In some cases the patient is required to fill out a registration form with personal details, contact information and medical history.
Receiving OPD Card: After registration, patients receive an OPD Slip or a Sequence Number or with a unique identification number, which will be used for their consultation with a doctor.
2. Waiting Area
Location: OPD Waiting Area
Process:
Waiting: Patients wait in the designated waiting area until their number is called. Comfortable seating and amenities are provided to ensure a pleasant waiting experience.
3. Consultation with Doctor
Location: Consultation Room
Process:
Initial Consultation: Patients are called into a consultation room by the attending doctor or healthcare professional.
Medical History: The doctor will review the patient’s medical history, current symptoms, and any previous treatments or medications.
Examination: A physical examination may be conducted based on the patient’s condition.
Diagnosis and Treatment Plan: The doctor provides a diagnosis and discusses a treatment plan, which may include medications, further tests, or referrals to specialists or other branches/hospitals.
4. Follow-Up and Prescriptions
Location: OPD Follow-Up Desk
Process:
Prescriptions: If medication is required, prescriptions are issued. The doctor may also recommend over-the-counter medications available at the hospital pharmacy or at the attached dispensary of the Insured Person / Family.
Further Tests: If additional tests or investigations are needed, patients are directed to the relevant departments (e.g., Radiology or Pathology).
Follow-Up Appointment: For ongoing treatment, a follow-up appointment may be scheduled.
Patients can arrange this at the OPD Counter or through AAA+ if the facility is available.
5. Payment and Discharge
Process:
Payment for Additional Services: Normally this hospital does not charge any fees for the services from the bonafide eligible beneficiaries.
Discharge Instructions: Detailed discharge instructions, including care guidelines and followup appointments, are provided.
6. Feedback and Suggestions
Location: Feedback Desk or Online Portal
Process:
Feedback Submission: Patients are encouraged to provide feedback on their experience. This can be done at the feedback box kept in the OPD Registration area, or through an online portal.
Suggestions: Suggestions for improvement are welcomed to help us enhance our services and patient satisfaction.
